Top Social Apps on Android in Latin America Q4 2024

The fourth quarter of 2024 saw notable performances from leading social apps on the Android platform in Latin America. Data from Sensor Tower highlights trends in downloads, revenue, and active users for these popular apps.

TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE demonstrated a strong presence with weekly revenues reaching approximately $1.2M in late December. Downloads peaked at around 1.6M in the week of December 23, while active users showed a gradual increase, ending the quarter at about 136.6M.

Instagram maintained a steady revenue flow, averaging around $160K weekly. Download numbers were robust, peaking at 1.25M in early December. The app’s active users also saw an upward trend, closing the quarter with nearly 198M users.

TikTok Lite - Save Data & Fast saw a moderate revenue increase, with weekly figures around $4K. Downloads reached a high of 1.3M by the end of December. Active users increased steadily, finishing the quarter with over 21.6M.

Threads had a strong start with weekly downloads around 1.4M at the beginning of the quarter. Although downloads slightly decreased, active users consistently grew, reaching nearly 48M by the end of December.

Facebook experienced stable revenue, peaking at $85K in early November. Downloads showed an upward spike, reaching 968K in late December. Active users increased slightly, closing the quarter at approximately 205M.
